Wednesday's show had a great mix of listener fun, and it all kicked off with Found It in History, where we played around with some brilliant timeline gaps. The question was simple: guess how many years passed between famous moments in history. We had the first iPhone to ChatGPT (15 years), Elvis Presley's first UK No.1 to The Beatles' first UK No.1 (6 years), and VHS arriving in UK homes to DVD taking over (20 years). Add those up and you get 41 years in total. How would you have done? I reckon most people would have been caught out by at least one of those.
Lucy got the better of Lauren on that one, which was brilliant to see, and a special mention to Julie in Skegness who was our closest guessing Magna listener. Well done, Julie.
Then came the Topical Tune, and the story we were working with was a good one. Japanese companies are now selling human-sized fridges, basically a stainless steel box you step inside to cool down almost instantly. Five minutes gives you instant relief, ten minutes eases heat exhaustion. So what song fits that? You lot had some crackers. Dave in Nettleham took the top spot with Mike Posner's Cooler Than Me, just edging out Matt in Grimsby's very solid Foreigner choice. Honestly, they were all good shouts.
