Magna Radio is delighted to announce that well-known Lincolnshire broadcaster Rob Hammond will be joining the station's weekday line-up, taking over the Drivetime show from Monday 6th July.
Rob will be a familiar voice to many listeners across the county, having spent many years entertaining audiences on Lincs FM before more recently presenting weekend shows on Magna Mix.
His move to Magna Radio marks a return to regular weekday broadcasting and reunites him with colleagues and friends, prompting many listeners to say the same thing: "The boys are back together."
Rob will be taking listeners home every weekday afternoon with a mix of great music, local stories, entertainment, competitions and everything happening across Lincolnshire.
Tom Priestley, Founder of Magna Radio, said:
"We're absolutely thrilled to welcome Rob to the Magna Radio family. He's one of the most recognisable and respected voices in Lincolnshire radio and someone who has built a fantastic connection with listeners over many years. Bringing Rob onto our weekday schedule is a huge moment for the station and, judging by the reaction we've already seen, it's something our audience is really excited about. The boys are back together, and we can't wait for listeners to hear what's in store. We're especially delighted to be able to announce this at the 141st Lincolnshire Show."
Rob's first Drivetime show will air on Monday 6th July.
Asking Rob about it he said:
"It's hard to believe it's been two and a half years since I was last live on Lincs FM, so I'm absolutely delighted to be back on regular weekday radio. Broadcasting has always been a huge part of my life and I've genuinely missed the connection with listeners every day. It's been fantastic presenting on Magna Mix on weekends and Magna Radio is doing something special for Lincolnshire, so when the opportunity came up to join John and the daytime team, it was one I couldn't turn down. I can't wait to get behind the microphone on Magna on 6th July and spend my afternoons with listeners across the county once again."
Another popular Magna Radio presenter, John Marshall, whose show will lead directly into Rob's Drivetime programme, said:
