Nine staff from North Lincolnshire Council will take a massive leap from a plane 15,000 feet in the air – skydiving to the ground to raise vital funds for The Forge Project.
The team will jump at Hibaldstow on 16 August 2026, aiming to raise £5,000 to help keep the charity’s life-changing work running.
Cllr Julie Reed, cabinet member for children, families and young people is the chair of the Forge Project. She said: “I have volunteered at the Forge for the last eight years and in that time it has changed from a simple soup kitchen to accommodation, food, clothing and a friendly ear, offering support and guidance to a fully staffed professional integrated hub.
“We realised the only way to achieve the best from our joint working was to share the space, so The Forge Day Centre is where we all bring our expertise, energy and passion to help others.
“I was asked to jump but I am going to honest, I am scared of flying in a plane, let alone jump out of one and my son James, also works for the council has stepped in to fill my place.”
