A brand new 3-day festival is coming to Lincolnshire this summer – thanks to support from the East Lindsey Investment Fund and crowdfunding.
The Woodhall Spa Festival of Storytelling runs from Friday 10 July to Sunday 12 July 2026 at Jubilee Park.
Most events will be free and suitable for visitors of all ages with professional performers taking part.
The team at Jubilee Park launched an online appeal on the ‘South and East Lincolnshire Crowd’ crowdfunding website in 2025, to cover the costs of the festival.
The East Lindsey Investment Fund (ELIF) contributed £6,000 and donations from more than sixty backers raised a final total of £12,774, exceeding the original target.
ELIF is a £20 million scheme launched in 2024 by East Lindsey District Council to improve life for everyone in the district.
Creativity and Local Support
The festival will include readings with authors and storytelling sessions and interactive workshops. Visitors can enjoy story walks through Jubilee Park, theatre productions and free family activities.
There will also be an immersive animation experience, a marketplace, poets and musicians. ‘Britain's Got Talent’ finalist and performance poet, Sonny Green, launches the festival on Friday evening at a ticketed event, featuring his powerful poetry.
Cllr Craig Leyland, Leader of East Lindsey District Council, said: “The Festival of Storytelling is a fantastic idea by Jubilee Park to get the local community involved in storytelling, reading, poetry and appreciating the written word, all in the heart of Woodhall Spa, in the wonderful setting in this lovely village.
“This event will bring people together for a very special weekend.”
