Wednesday’s show on Magna Radio featured holiday prep struggles, an unlikely speeding offence involving one of television’s most famous cars, and an update to the Friday line-up.
With a weekend trip to London coming up, John admitted he’s reached the stage of relying on “emergency clothes” before going away.
The discussion quickly turned into today’s big question for listeners:
Do you switch to emergency clothes ahead of a holiday?
It’s that familiar moment where the better outfits are being saved for the trip itself, leaving whatever is left in the wardrobe to get you through the final few days at home.
Listeners clearly knew exactly what he meant.
Rob Hammond will be stepping in for John this Friday.
Meanwhile, Co-Host Friday is being paused for a couple of weeks while John is away. Friday 22nd’s shows will also come live from Air Ambulance HQ.
Looking ahead to May 29th, John will be joined from 12pm–1pm by Mark Steele, lead singer of popular local cover band Stolen Fridays.
Today’s Topical Tune was inspired by a bizarre story involving KITT, the iconic black car from 1980s TV series Knight Rider.
The vehicle was reportedly issued with a speeding ticket in New York – despite being kept on display in a museum in Illinois for several years.
Museum staff insist the car has not moved from the exhibit in years.
