Walk Side by Side takes place on Sunday 25 October 2026, giving supporters the chance to enjoy a 5km or 10km walk while helping to keep the charity’s lifesaving crew flying across Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire. This will be the first time the walk has ever been in Lincolnshire at a brand new venue.
There is no need to race, no pressure to hit a target and no special kit required. Just come along, walk your way and enjoy a morning of fresh air, friendly faces and community spirit.
Children and dogs can take part free of charge, making it the perfect excuse to get the whole household involved. Whether you stroll, stride or stop for a few photos along the way, every step will help make a difference.
There is no fundraising target, but anyone who chooses to raise a little extra will be helping the charity bring critical care to people when they need it most. From keeping the helicopter in the air to helping equip the crew with vital medical kit, the money raised will support lifesaving missions across the region.
The event village opens at 9:30am, with the walk setting off at 10:30am from Market Rasen Racecourse, Legsby Road, Market Rasen, LN8 3EA. Walkers can choose a 5km or 10km route, with both designed to be welcoming, accessible and enjoyable.
For many walkers, the event is a chance to enjoy time outdoors while supporting a service their communities rely on. Jo Hayward, who took part in March 2026, said the walk captured exactly what makes the charity so special: ‘This service is so vital in rural areas, we’re incredibly fortunate to have it here in Lincolnshire. I thoroughly enjoyed the walk through Sherwood Pines; the atmosphere was uplifting, supportive and full of community spirit. It was wonderful to see everyone coming together to raise money for such a fantastic charity.’
Participants can expect free parking, a friendly event village and support from the charity’s Events Team every step of the way, from arrival to finish line smiles.
That sense of community is at the heart of Walk Side by Side. Georgia Watson, Events Manager at LNAA, said the event is a special opportunity to bring supporters together and celebrate the charity’s work: ‘Walk Side by Side is a fantastic family friendly event that brings together people within our communities to celebrate the work of the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance. It is such a wonderful day, and I love having the opportunity to meet our supporters and hear their stories. We’re thrilled to be bringing the event to Market Rasen Racecourse this October and hope you will join us there!’
